Volunteer Training Award First for Braveheart
Braveheart has become the first organisation in Scotland to be accredited by the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH) for its new Optimise Health Mentor Training programme.
Anne Black, Manager of Braveheart said, “The increasing prevalence of chronic health conditions such as diabetes and heart disease means there is great need in our communities for action to support health and wellbeing. We need to find low cost sustainable solutions that work in practice. This national award not only endorses the excellence of Bravehearts’ Health mentor training, but it also validates the significant contribution our volunteer led services make in promoting and managing healthy living”
