The Braveheart Association provide a personal footcare toenail clipping service for those who can no longer cut their own toenails. Clinics are available across Forth Valley at various locations, as follows:
- Braveheart Connections, Howgate shopping centre
- Clackmannanshire Community Health Centre, Sauchie
- Bo’ness Baptist church
- Polmont Community Hub
- Bellfield Centre, Stirling
Toenail clipping is provided by NHS Podiatry trained volunteers. It is toenail clipping only, however, if any issues arise such as corns or ingrown toenails, we can refer you to Podiatry for any treatment required.
At the first appointment, it costs £35. We will issue you with a personal clipper pack. This should be retained and brought to each appointment. Each subsequent appointment costs £25 and we aim to book clients in every 8-10 weeks, depending on availability.
For further information, or to register for the service, please call 01324 633505 OR email Eleanor Paterson: eleanor.paterson2@nhs.scot
