*Braveheart’s Health & Wellbeing Event*

Enjoy Your Health Grangemouth!

Braveheart are hosting a free Community Health Event on Wednesday 23rd January.  There will be stalls with giveaways, taster activities, free entry raffle and a community meal on offer.  The event takes place Kersiebank Community Centre and you can drop in to see what is happening and take part between 10am- 3pm.

There will be a free community meal offered in partnership with Forth Environment Link, using locally sourced, seasonal produce. You can also join in a range of activities on the day such as hand massage and taster sessions as well as browse stalls with information on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Munira Farara, Development Officer with Braveheart said,

“ The event is all about enjoying your health. All activities are free, but come early to make sure to book your place! ”

Braveheart will be launching a brand new project at the event called “Smart Move” which aims to inspire more people in the Forth Valley to walk more. We will be demonstrating the benefits of active travel on your overall health and wellbeing.

Braveheart is a community health charity based in Falkirk Community Hospital. Volunteers act as health ambassadors in the community, supporting local people to optimise their health and wellbeing.  A programme of weekly and monthly health walks are offered as well as weight management support and self management groups for people experiencing health conditions such as heart problems and type 2 diabetes.

To become involved with Braveheart as a volunteer, call the office on 01324 673703. More information on the services provided is available on their website: braveheart.uk.net
