Are you one of those grandparents, like me (Walking Development Officer May), who used to play outdoors all of the time till your Mum called you in for dinner? Then why not make a short video, Facetime or Skype your grandchildren and show them the good old games we used to play in the back garden.
Beds- if they have slabs, chalk and an empty shoe polish tin to use as a pever
> Badminton- just use the clothesline or two chairs with a bit of string between them as a net
> Stoat the Ball- use a tennis ball and a ball
> Skipping- an old piece of rope can be used if they do not have skipping ropes
> Hoola Hoop- if you have one
> Bowls- use empty plastic bottles
> On dry days let them make a tent and pretend that they are camping
